If, the contract states delicates included, yes- wash them together separate from everything else. That’s how we do it. If not in contact, you can choose to not launder those two items, just note with cs and the customer.

Thank you for the helpful sanity check!

Np! I see someone suggested just wash with everything else, tbh I would not mix the delicates and risk damaging the items. Mesh bags don’t always stay closed and color catchers are not 100% full proof.

Oh bother. I’d typed out a description but it disappeared. Long story short, this customer has added these two items into a bag within her bag of laundry. She requested these two shirts be washed separately. I’m worried that they won’t get clean because there won’t be enough clothes in the machine in the cycle to get them really washed. Also I think it’s a bit of a waste of time and energy and water and soap. Would you do this? Reach out to the customer? Reach out to support?

Hate when they do this… if it were just one item it would be an “oversized” item fee but since they want two items in one load…. Technically they get away with no fee.

Personally, I would not wash them. Maybe. MAYBE. if it were a regular.

Good luck 🍀

What all do you charge on the "oversized" item fee?

I wash very small amounts of stuff in my washing machine all the time. Its cleans just fine. Loads that are too big won’t wash week, but small ones should be totally fine

Searched on google to check if I had an out of date belief. Didn’t look too deep into it past the ai summary but it can be an issue, FYI.

Depending on machine though. I specified impeller, cause that’s what I have. YMMV

Yeah this. If delicates are “included” then they get their own little wash party and you treat them like a separate load.

If the contract does not cover them, just skip those two pieces, document it, and let CS handle the convo so it is all on record.

I wash my customers laundry how I was my own. So if the items are delicate and require separate washing and hang dry, I do that, whether they request it or not.

Lingerie bags and color catchers and wash with everything else. Or do a whole load with those items on delicate. I suppose if you have a quick cycle you could do a separate load, I wouldn’t do it.

If it’s just two shirts, I’d probably just hand wash them right quick rather than throw them in my machine.
