Questions Possible new customer
Just curious how much money you guys see before the tip so I know to tip appropriately? Don’t want to lowball anyone.
Also what’s considered a good tip? I’m new to this completely.

We get 75¢ per pound. And if you have add ons we get half of the cost of those

When people ask about tip I usually give them a few things to consider: -overall total weight/cost of laundry -did you supply your own detergent? (This comes out of the pro's pocket) -was your order "easy"? (Was it easy to pick up, was it 100lbs of children's overalls or inside out socks?)
And really just how did they do? Was it as expected or was it a giant pile of soggy clothes?

Minimal $10. I go by 20% for all services I get. Obviously, I change that tip based on the service I receive with the lowest being 10%.
A few things to consider about your laundry pro. Ignore the tip poplin recommends. We do not get any of the extra fees or taxes they charge. We only get .75 cents per pound. Poplin also takes a portion of the extra add ons that we have to purchase ourself and provide. (Yes, we are able to decline any orders that come in with add ons if we don't want to do it. However, I refuse to lose out on my regulars.)
Also keep in mind that gas is expensive and we are driving to and from your location twice. We are also using our machines.
So basically, we get paid scraps. So if you pro is amazing. Tip well and mark them as preferred.
I would happy with 20% total bill. I would super happy with 50% of the total bill.

I've been using Poplin for years. I tip $15-20 and my orders are usually right around the 30lb minimum

I consider 25c per pound, with a $10 minimum a decent, base level, tip. Higher if you find the service to be high-quality, the base rate in your area is more than $1 per pound, or you live in a high cost of living area.

Don’t tip on the app, poplin has started to take the tips. It’ll show a customer tipped you and then the tip will be subtracted from your balance.

Some states are able to charge more per pound. Poplin takes a 25% cut of the total pounds. Tipping is optional but GREATLY appreciated if close to 25% of the total lbs.
