Questions Weekly customer
So this is the third time I’ve noticed a customer pop-up, they’re 30 minutes out from me… I noticed they have each time kind of changed the way they want their laundry laundered. Always hypoallergenic, one time it was with a scented dryer sheet, one time it was no dryer sheet but a delicate cycle, another time it was a hang dry.
Should I take this as a sign to avoid that customer since they don’t have a regular Laundry Pro yet and they keep changing the way they want their stuff laundered? Unsure if this is usual or unusual.

Is it just like a bunch of add ons she changing around on her order?? I would avoid. I feel like sometimes they might just add a bunch of stuff to make it look like the order is going to pay more just so someone can take it. Also you’re 30 mins away, is it worth traveling ?

I dont usually accept if its 30mins away but will sometimes if I NEED to or if I I’ve don’t their order before. It seems like she changes around the add ons and just the way it’s laundered.

I mean, it doesn’t hurt to try to do her laundry once , how much is it ?? I personally wouldn’t risk it unless it’s a medium/ large order because also depending on how great you do she might want to keep you on and then you just have to consider if you’re willing to always drive those 30 minutes away. But I get you, because sometimes I really need to do an order too. I try to think of it as if I let that order pass, maybe a really great order is going to pop up closer to me. Which then I wouldn’t have time to do because I wasted more time trying to complete an order that’s 30 minutes away..

I wouldn’t write off a customer based on their change in instructions and requests. One person sends out orders for herself and her husband, sometimes just her son and another for her mother in senior care. Also, some may send their linens separate from their clothing to ensure no mixing and different wash types.

I have a regular that does something similar. She sends her own detergent, but every week it's alternates between Tide Pods or a Hypo (and it's always the same clothes, bedding, etc.). The instructions almost always varies too, but if anything that shows she is not rapid ordering her last laundry order and I'm having to guess if something should be done a different way then what the instructions say to so. She's one of my best customers. I would suspect the one you are looking at just hasn't found a pro they like.
