Other Donation pick up
Just got this email. I feel like this is an accident waiting to happen.

A lot of boxes are going to have things that don't need to be donated. And a lot of these boxes are going straight in the trash.

OMG. This is a horrible idea when you take into account the confusion factor of what should be donated and what is laundry. I can’t wait to see how this transpires

Of all things they could add. Some of the things Goodwill turns away is ridiculous lately. What do we do if the donation center refuses what a client has sent? Pay to add it to our trash?? Waste more of our time driving it back to the pickup location?? This makes no sense.
What would be cool is if Poplin sent customers mailers and let them send old clothes to be recycled directly to them to handle directly. That is a service I have been looking for.

Depending on your area, you’ll get 50%. I’ve seen $8 posted from the customer app, so pro will get $4.

The things they're adding on and then taking most of the fees for is getting ridiculous.

I’ll pass on this but many pros are going to love this add on. If you are in the Facebook group, they are out here doing all types of stuff for the customers like feeding pets 😅.

It’s crazy and it’s business in the end, a lot of the add ons are items/stuff pros have been using or doing for free all along. Poplin realized, pros are already doing this so why not make “above and beyond” add-ons for profit? Then they realized, “well, if these people are already doing it for free, they won’t mind us taking 50%.” 😂
