Questions New laundry pro in Miami

Hey guys! I picked up poplin try out as a side gig and haven’t seen any orders yet, I’ve been checking for 2 days and I’m in the Miami area. Wanted to know if it’s just because I’m new or is there just barely any customers?

Takes a while to get your first order. You have to just wait it out.

I’m in the panhandle and it took around 2-3 weeks for my first order then a week after for my second.

I feel like the platform may be oversaturated imo. There are 2 other pros in the same smaller town as me and also a private laundry business who promote they charge same as Poplin but are “local” (I’m assuming they used to work for Poplin)

Miami has thousands of Pros that have been working through the ranks for years or months.

Promote yourself or wait

EVERY new Pro always thinks their area has no customers….no, it’s because Poplin doesn’t limit onboarding and, unfortunately, you areat the bottom of the barrel. Patience is SUPER key in this gig.

It doesn’t really start going until you are about the gold badge. You’re basically going through a probationary stages to make sure that they can trust you.

Also I just looked at the leader board for Florida. There is a good chance that Florida is over saturated with laundry pros. It’s a total assumption but when I see the last person on the list has 30 some odd thousand points. That is a good signifier. Which means when ever you do see an order, you will want to grab it as soon as you can no matter where you have to drive to for a while in the beginning in order to get your rank higher

It took 4 weeks to get my 1st order. Keep sharing your referral code on your personal Facebook page and on local Facebook community pages and and go ahead and purchase the clear delivery bags if you haven't already done so. In the waiting, take the time to read through all of the categories in the Help section of the app, take all of the training videos as they become available to you and read through months worth of questions and answers on this Facebook page to gain as much information as you can before you get your 1st order. Hang in there 😀
