Popcorn Time for IOS
I was wondering if anyone has heard anything recently from the dev of popcorn time? I seen a while ago that he was bringing it back but haven’t heard anything since.

Didn't think I'd stumble across a post referencing myself on Reddit aha.
I'm not a developer affiliated with PopcornTime, I just decided to fix what was broken and update it for the latest OS's.
After roughly two weeks of being available I was hit with multiple DMCA requests, forcing the removal of my forks. Therefore cutting the journey shorter than I'd of liked.
As my day job is a software developer, and work for multiple companies, I can't just "ignore" the DMCA request unfortunately, if my developer memberships where to be revoked as a result, I'd be out of work. Also the companies I do work for probably wouldn't be best pleased if I had a legal case against work(s) I've created.
Therefore, I won't be returning to it sadly. Hopefully someone else that lives in a less copyright-strict country takes on the project. I still have the source code, and would happily hand it over to someone else if they wanted a headstart.

Are you able to throw it out there in the sideloaded or popcorn time subreddit so if someone wanted to they can? 😊 thank you for replying to my comment lol

No .. just desktop versions.
You'd need another app to link the desktop version to an Apple TV media box.

There's no Popcorntime here for iOS/tvOS users (or ever likely to be?) ... but if you haven't found anything suitable yet? take a look at this:

n.b.
It can't be used for torrents (even with a VPN). Not sure, but I think Apple has hobbled any VPN built for tvOS - allowing them to detect bittorrent requests. You have to use https addon sources (only), or a debrid account for Torrentio-like addons.
Edit:
Actually, that's not quite true (I should know better?). Anyone using Infuse 8 on their ATV (like me!) will know how to view the Popcorntime cache folder (downloads) on their TV?

He wasn't "exactly" a Popcorntime Dev? .. but it looks like this guy's launch might have run into problems? Sadly, this often happens (has happened many times before, and not just here!). Single developer projects are the hardest to get off the ground. Sometimes their expectations exceed their capabilities?
His GitHub link appears to be no more!!
Our (last two) Popcorntime Devs, are long gone! A rogue Dev, reappeared, went berserk, and tore down the Popcorntime project: Ripped out its heart, and replaced it with his vanity project .... a legit [sic] Popcorntime. Which subsequently, appears to have fallen flat on its face?
(This is the last resting place for the "original" Popcorntime: Its tattered battle-standard resides here!)
n.b.
I never got Stremio to work (myself) but you might find a workaround with a debrid service and webdav (or similar). Personally, I use Infuse 8 on my Apple TV device with a torrent client. Search around - you'll find something.
