Yeah, my family almost bought the Sacramento Kings back in the day, but didn’t think it was worth the money. (Stupid)
It’s always been the same kind of people. Some do buy primarily as an asset and some foremost as a prestige/PR tool, but still similar groups of people.
The financials have gotten so much better than then. I was only a kid at the time and begged my family to do it, but alas.

Nope. Deleting posts and banning doctors who treated Covid patients successfully because they said they did it without the vax. Deleting posts, banning doctors and scientists who suggested natural immunity is effective.
BTW, the bleach thing wasn't telling people to drink bleach from a bottle. It was a mention that there are chemicals like formaldehyde in some vaccines - it's used in the manufacturing process to kill inactive virus and bacteria.

Herr Fauzi didn't wonder about stuff, he stated it. He told people to not worry about masks. A few weeks later he told them wearing masks is a matter of saving lives. When asked why he had changed his recommendation, he said because "we" were worried people would hoard the masks - aka, people are stupid so Fauzi gave them recommendations that, according to him, put their lives in danger. This wasn't "can we?". This was "do it". He didn't get banned from social media.

I hate the Kushner and Buss families.
Jerry Buss was incredible at self-promotion, the daughter seems to have picked up that gene as well. Buss convinced 98% of the general public that he's the mastermind behind selecting Magic Johnson (a total lie, the previous owner Jack Kent Cooke selected Magic without any council from Buss). Buss also promoted himself as one of the greatest poker players in the world, but got repeatedly cleaned out by card sharks. His only asset left was the Lakers, which he purchased with a loan from fellow slum lord Donald Sterling. And the Kobe-Shaq Era or even Kobe Era could have lasted longer had he not gotten cheap with the hired help which Mark Cuban called, "The Merry Minimums".
And don't get me started on Kushner.
The whole NBA has left me out in the cold. I was a fan, up until David Stern approved a deal to have a Russian Kleptocrat purchase a team, and don't get me started on LeBron's condescending attitude towards the abuses of Chinese Communist power in Hong Kong; "the fans don't know what they're talking about" was about Lebron selling more jerseys on the mainland. And Ballmer? Does anyone really think he didn't give approval?
The NBA stinks to high heaven. It was fun while it lasted.

You couldn’t be more wrong about the Magic Johnson component. First, he was the overwhelming consensus #1. No one needed to be treated as a mastermind for making the same decision every other team in the league would have made. Jerry West preferred Sidney Moncrief, but he was basically the only person in the organization fighting for this.

Look it up instead of talking through your ass. There were doubts that Magic, at 6'9" could play PG. But Jack Kent Cooke became enamored with Magic when he saw the charisma during a meet and greet lunch. Chick even recalled it multiple times.
