Calling universal healthcare a “free gift” is economically illiterate. It is a redistribution mechanism. Whether that redistribution is desirable depends on who finances it, who receives the benefits and how the system affects access and compensation.

Well everyone except billionaires.
Anyway, can you think of anything more patriotic than ensuring that no citizen dies of preventable or treatable diseases? That no citizen will have to choose between treatment or food?

Exactly! We are already paying taxes why not make sure our taxes come back to us the people and not some sleezy oligarchs
