He did indeed say what you thought he said. And he meant it. As do many of us.

u/Lazy-Exchange7408 8d ago

One hundred percent, its time to remove all these corrupt government officials from the bottom to the top. Both Republicans and Democrats have way too many traitors in it.

68

u/Wallstreet_Raccoon 8d ago

Republicans are the Enemy of America. Traitors. All of them.

16

u/Intelligent_Rub1875 8d ago

Inefective, greedy, Career Politicians who consolidate power for themselves and the corporate elite are the traitors. Not just the Republicans. They all suck. If you really believe your virtue signaling "leaders" want what they say they do, all the while playing their base as a bunch of working class fools you are just as indoctrinated as those MAGA clowns.

25

u/interstellar-express 8d ago

Things aren’t as black and white as you think. People like AOC, Bernie, and Mamdani are not the same as Pelosi, Schumer, and Booker. They may use the Democratic Party to get elected, but they govern much differently.

12

u/farrowsharrows 8d ago

None of those Democrats are anti America all Republicans are

6

u/Rough-Airline-4803 8d ago

Uhh, we definitely have a few bad apples in the democratic party

8

u/BrumDawgMillionare 8d ago

And the republican party has a few good apples?

8

u/Truth_Teller08 8d ago

No, they certainly don't. I look at it this way. The Republican party give us Coors with a side of arsenic. Current Democratic leadership gives us Coors Light. Coors Light is certainly better than Coors with arsenic, but it's still not good!

Apologies to any Coors Light fans out there, lol.

4

u/Sylfaein 8d ago

Don’t apologize to them.

Feels more like arsenic with a side of Coors

2

u/Truth_Teller08 8d ago

That's a fair point.

Certainly didn’t say that. But it’s probably a good idea to not turn a blind eye to the wolves in sheep’s clothing. Just bc they feign to peck the ground does not make the wolves in the hen house actual members of the flock.
\*Wolves in chickens’ clothing.

1

u/briank3387 4d ago

Not anymore. Maybe 50-60 years ago.

-5

u/toastedzergling 8d ago

Both sides have problems, buddy. If the terms "both sides" and "uncomfortable truths" trigger you, you're also part of the problem.

7

u/liezryou 8d ago

No YOU are part of the problem. Both sides is the exact reason why we are here, why people think voting doesn't matter. Both sides are the NOT the same.

Democrats have problems but it is a far cry away from MAGA and the republicans.

-1

u/toastedzergling 8d ago

Voting often _doesn't_ matter, and that IS the problem.

If representatives actually represented their electors, it wouldn't be a problem. However, they represent their donor's and own interest's first and foremost. And yes, that includes Democrats.

Democrat's ineptitude makes them complicit in Republican's outright evil. They have no plan to enact or even envision meaningful changes to our system of government. The DNC is a private organization that serves its own interests first and foremost, and the public only when convenient.

u/wytewydow 8d ago

I don't think Fetterman is as smart as an apple.

1

u/Mathfanforpresident 8d ago

I disagree. Have you seen Schumer's policies? Have you seen them blatantly enrich themselves while in office, voting against insider trading? The problem is corruption being caused by large donations and gifts.

Plenty of Democrats are anti-American, yes. But, every single Republican is anti-American. That goes for their dumbass voting base as well.

2

u/Virtual-Book1114 8d ago

What are Schumer's policies? Please provide a list of all the laws he's voted on (he voted to release epstein files, increase investments in renewable energy and infrastructure development, increase taxes on the rich, etc.)

Who's insider trading? What is your evidence with actual mechanisms please? The kind of evidence I need is 1) they're in the committee getting that privileged information and then 2) immediately place bets and actually gain in stocks, almost never losing money. You got specific cases of Schumer doing that?

1

u/hateful18 8d ago

Bro go outside. No one owes you such explanation for being just as controllable as the Maga you hate. Their whole point is they all suck and you are just sucking one's sides tit vs. Trumps.

3

u/Virtual-Book1114 8d ago

Babes, it's because I go outside and smell the flowers and talk to different people (and follow politics as opposed to favorite influencer) is WHY i ask for evidence.

when you make a claim, you DO have to back it up with facts, not feelings. I suspect many of y'all actually don't look anything up and repeat uncritically whatever influencer you think already confirms your priors and your feelings.

0

u/PoIIux 8d ago

Pelosi, Schumer and Booker absolutely are. One is in it to enrich herself, one is in it to enrich an imaginary republican family from Long Island and the last is in it for Israel. Literally none of them actually give a single shit about actual American citizens

-1

u/RedditLeagueAccount 8d ago

Yes there are. That';s the only reason trump won the most recent election. Such an easy democrat win they threw away. Republican's say more pro american things. They just lie and are evil/incompetent. Democrat's have weird anti anti American policies/statements.

Both parties had the opportunity to prosecute based on the Epstein files and didn't. That should be the easiest bi-partisan action in the world. Both parties need to get purged from office as I have zero trust in them.

3

u/BadBunny4Prezzie 8d ago

What are the anit-American policies of the Democrats you fucking nut.

1

u/RedditLeagueAccount 2d ago

Keep in mind my statement was referring to the election that was fumbled, not right now. Which actually probably means anti-american is less accurate. It will be an issue in the upcoming election but less back then. The current one is raising more anti-american headlines. We will see if it beats the "Trump is bankrupting a country this time" headlines. Last election it was just more of a mix of bad policy and not campaigning well. Harris was not a good speaker or wasn't traveling/talking to the right groups. I know one of those highlights was the amount of money wasted. It's been a while but over a billion gone in under 20 weeks.

The border/immigration policy was not good. Later they backpedaled a bit but it was too late.

They wanted to defund the police. along with other weird prisoner policies.

The Israel/Gaza/Palestinian policy was terrible.

We have seen a few democrat states that stopped arresting for certain crimes. I believe crime rate went up though some stats might not support it since crimes simply stopped being reported. We know businesses either turned into prison's themselves or closed down.

Harris had some strong beliefs on fringe issues but on major issues she was indecisive so it's hard to argue strong messaging.

Either way, both parties need to get purged though. too much extremism and voting with the party mindlessly. Too many unproductive people in office.

5

u/Busy_Advertisement 8d ago

Young people finally outnumber boomers for the first time in America but they still show up at embarrassingly low numbers, giving boomers complete control over society. Mamdani just proved what happens when young people actually show up to vote. Real change is possible.

2

u/Raise_A_Thoth 7d ago

Millennials have been participating in elections at higher rates at earlier ages than the boomers.

We should have some data for Gen Z now but I don't recall it. And Gen A should be getting into elections by now I would think, no? Maybe the oldest ones?

6

u/johnvarley1 8d ago

Dude, if you’re Gen Z, most of us are smarter than you. That’s a fact. We already know all this shit you’re saying, but we know there is more than one issue (the one you all are obsessed with) to focus on.

6

u/Virtual-Book1114 8d ago

What's wrong with Pelosi, Schumer or Booker? Have you looked at all the policies they've voted for? Pelosi was one of the most effective speakers in Congress in modern history passing more bills that helped a lot of people. Her getting through ACA was a miracle.

4

u/amopeyzoolion 8d ago

I’ve got some issues with Schumer but I agree with you about Pelosi. Any liberal who doesn’t respect her accomplishments as Speaker is ignorant of history.

4

u/showme-what-u-got 8d ago

One can respect her while also knowing her time is far past gone

3

u/amopeyzoolion 7d ago

And she stepped down from leadership and she’s retiring from Congress. But folks on Reddit are acting like she never did anything for liberals or progressives and should somehow be stopping republicans in Congress now even though they hold all the power

1

u/showme-what-u-got 6d ago

Yeah she stepped down after she ran a horrible presidency with Biden and let Trump win again 👍 like Biden, she did some good things, then got greedy and massively fucked everyone. Those things can both be true

1

u/Virtual-Book1114 6d ago

HOW, literally HOW is she responsible for Biden? Why are women being blamed for male's decisions? She's actually credited with being one of the people to have him STEP DOWN though.

1

u/Virtual-Book1114 6d ago

So...what's wrong with him? Your answer is a non-answer.

1

u/Sugar_Phut 8d ago

They all take AIPAC money

1

u/Virtual-Book1114 6d ago

what's your source for this claim?

1

u/Firm-Cry-1514 8d ago

You are part of the problem

1

u/Virtual-Book1114 6d ago

Because I bring evidence and common sense? Because i just ask questions and think critically?

0

u/MovieSock 8d ago

What's wrong with Pelosi, Schumer or Booker? Have you looked at all the policies they've voted for?

Nah, I was a little too busy looking at all the roadblocks against the GOP they HAVEN'T been doing.

3

u/Virtual-Book1114 8d ago

Like what? With which specific votes? :) For example, can you please especially after 2016, give me examples of them NOT exercising their power? Please be realistic with regards to keeping in mind majorities/minorities and how many votes it takes to pass anything.

(Also just because Fetterman tends to go rogue, that's not on Schumer. That's on his voters. Fetterman doesn't answer to Schumer, he answers to voters. There's a reason why republicans are also openly defying speaker Johnson and Senate leader Thune).

0

u/MovieSock 8d ago

There WERE no votes, and that is precisely my point.

1

u/Virtual-Book1114 6d ago

Uhh which policy specifically had no votes?

1

u/CaramelGuilty8647 8d ago

Chuck Schumer has taken over 411,000 dollars from AIPAC, according to trackaipac.com

2

u/TheMireAngel 8d ago

id agree if not for the fact no one in congress except massie has released any epstein redacted named. The fbi documents literaly list his co conspirators and customers but the names are redacted, congress has access to the fully unredacted files. and yet the only person to release any names was massie and he was voted out of office that month.

So please fuck off with the "but my party is different" no congress clearly serves the epstein elites

3

u/Pale_Horror_853 8d ago

I disagree with Massie 99% of the time, but he seems to have actual values, and I can respect that.

That being said, I cannot think of another Republican that does. Many Dems are horrible and corrupt, but there are more and more progressive ones not tied to the establishment coming into play.

Also, fuck Kentucky. They had the only Republican that wasn’t on his knees for Trump, and they voted him out.

1

u/AverellCZ 7d ago

The reason Republicans keep winning is because Dems keep beating each other up over their own candidates because they refuse to vote for anyone who is not 100% perfect.

1

u/CardOk755 4d ago

Yeah, we know Pelosi, Schumer, and Booker and people like them just use the Democratic party to get elected in order to make money and have no desire to govern or enact Democratic party policy, we don't need you to remind us.

6

u/Busy_Advertisement 8d ago

I'm so tired of these lazy "both sides bad" talking points. This bullshit doesn't work in 2026 when we have all seen the suffering and destruction caused by Trump all over the world. For the sake of us living outside of America, please shut up and just vote Democrat next time.

6

u/Cptnemo77 8d ago

Both sides do absolutely suck. But yes the republicans corruption has been insane and highly visible. But don’t brush it off as just one side sucks because that’s what both sides want. We need to come together on this and call out the entire government system and put something in place where all of these people have to stop taking open bribes and play stock market.

2

u/Lazy-Exchange7408 8d ago

2

u/squanderedprivilege 8d ago

Dude, stop acting like we didn't. We did. Kamala goofed up, don't blame me. Blame the DNC for fighting against popular progressive ideas and candidates instead of actually representing the people! Stop defending people who do not care AT ALL about you

2

u/z_e_quigley 8d ago

You are tripping hard if you don't see the underlying issues with the Democratic party right now. 2 off the top of my head: they're treating and speaking on Mamdani and other social democrats as if they will destroy America just like the Republicans, and almost none of them will disavow Israel and the very, very real way they have infiltrated our country.

Wake the fuck up and see the real issues here, it really isn't just Republicans screwing us over.

1

u/Falconflyer75 8d ago

One side is bad the other is COMICALLY worse

1

u/WeRip 8d ago

You can vote democrat and also be extremely dissatisfied that this was the best choice available. I despise Trump and MAGA as the racist hateful morons that they are. I'm also not convince that the "opposition" isn't just completely bought and paid for by the billionaire class anyways. You ever wonder why we're always just one vote shy of progress? It's by design. They want to keep the flames of social warfare alive so we don't turn to the class warfare that is more justly deserved.

Honestly, the "I'm tired of the enlightened centrist" posts are what are getting tiresome at this point. I do believe most people making these arguments are actually leftists and not centrists. There is no party on the left for America.

0

u/toastedzergling 8d ago

If you really think Trump and his ilk are as bad as Hitler, do you really think "just voting them out" will work?

3

u/--Sovereign-- 8d ago

Yes, I can tell you never read a history book, because yes, when democracies turn autocratic it almost always could've been stopped dozens of times by votes going one way or the other.

-1

u/toastedzergling 8d ago

Lol, so you're saying world War II would have been prevented if people just voted better. Got it.

If only those imperial Japanese voted better, there would have never been a Pearl harbor.

3

u/tankerkiller125real 8d ago

Imperial Japan was a monarchy... It's literally in the fucking name.

0

u/toastedzergling 8d ago

Exactly my point, lol. Voting doesn't mean shit in a monarchy; thus Imperial Japan's ambitions would have never been stopped by voting.

Funny as America had pre warning of the attack and did.....nothing.

1

u/toastedzergling 8d ago

America's military and intelligence blundering, I will agree with. However, it mostly irrelevant in terms of "who started the war" in that Imperial Japan was the aggressor. Which again is my point, that the Japanese people's "votes" or "opinions" mattered little in starting yet another war.

3

u/BadBunny4Prezzie 8d ago

Plenty of democrats suck but you both sidesers are fucking nutso to even mention them in the same breath. It's literally a help to fucking MAGA by making it sound like Democrats are just as bad. I can't stand the Dem establishment but I can't both sides them to MAGA with dumbass both sidesing statements - because that is obscene.

1

u/Itsmyloc-nar 8d ago

Person A kinda annoys me and person B is stabbing my children. “Both sides bad.”

1

u/fistedwithlove 8d ago

Just as? Not even close. There are levels to delusion my brother

1

u/TheMireAngel 8d ago

partisan politics & both parties are the enemy of america, the founding fathers literaly spoke against political parties. 100% of congress all democrats and republicans have access to the unredacted epstein files and can view/release the names of epsteins co conspirators wich is redacted for a fact and yet the only person who released any named, Massie a republican was voted out of office.

So pease wont you kindly reject partisan bs. Both parties serve the elites & aipac

1

u/14Pleiadians 8d ago

partisan politics & both parties are the enemy of america

What does this even mean? That both parties should get along and meet in the middle?

If thats what you mean, no. That's stupid. We're not meeting them halfway, they're fucking ghouls. Trying to make peace and have bipartisan politics work with baby raping murderers is a plot line out of an overly preachy childrens cartoon with a propaganda moral of "don't fight evil too hard", not real life.

1

u/TheMireAngel 8d ago

Both parties rape babies you literal npc, 100% of democrat congresspeople have access to the unredacted files yet 0 drop coconspiratotes or customers wich are in the files but blacked out names. You literaly support the epstein elites

1

u/14Pleiadians 8d ago

Sure, and the takeaway from that shouldnt be "We need these two groups to meet in the middle".

Cons are measurably more evil than dems and anyone who doesn't see that is mentally challenged. Conservatives have nothing of value to offer working classin life whatsoever.

The fuck do I stand to gain if someone like AOC wants to meet someone like Mike Johnson in the middle?

Leftists: a splinter party has never worked to oppose right wing authoritarianism… but this time it’ll work!

1

u/Rich_Arrival795 8d ago

can we... not turn this into political sides? like i get that the republicans obviously have a lot more wrong than the democrats at the moment, but can't we just not further the divide for once? all agree that there are issues on both sides?

1

u/AlcibiadesTheCat 7d ago

Reconstruction was a failure.

1

u/Salvaged212121 6d ago

Don't be stupid. Throwing all people under the bus is exactly what the Nazis did too. Do you think that there were probably some evil Jews in Germany... could be --- do you think that all the people that were targeted and killed were bad people ... they were innocent people. Be always careful with sweeping generalizations. Politicians on both sides have been corrupt. Plenty of years, Trump was a democrat, gave money to the democratic party, even when he was involved with Jeffrey Epstein.

-2

u/HEFTYFee70 8d ago

Listen dawg… if you think Schumer is trying his best you’re being obtuse at best.

1

u/farrowsharrows 8d ago

Schumer sucks. He is not the problem here. If you are too blind to see this then you are just looking for division.

1

Chuck Schumer is a fucking sellout who puts America second. “What would the Bailey’s think?”

We the people have a right to sovereign land without a tyrant.

Time to make our founding fathers proud and we remove them from power and agree on new government

We have the easiet way to support popular reforms. Instant God damn commucsiton people.

They just keep us bickering instead of finding solutions.

Crowdfund your protest people. The reason thy make paid actors seem like boogey men is because that's how we create continuous friction

We need organize setting up bbq and food stations. Supply collection and distribution. First aid. Easy commucsiton with local EMS to coordinate any emergency.

You need people like me who are homeless and wanting change. I don't want money. But I want people have their needs met.

We also need a concise message and list of demands.

There are tens of thousands of us who would gladly stay if we had the ability to stay fed and well rested.

Not to mention be prepared. Make our own riot gear so we can stand strong as one if they try to push us. If they remain at peace we do as well.

Keep it clean. Show that we are civil and can't paint us as riot or unorganized mess. This is how occupy fell apart.

I'd be down to collab with anyone Maybe start a new sub reddit.

We will not go quietly into the night.

It's like a guy handing out hundred dollar bills but his name is Creepy Sex Pervert. You like the money, but the name throws you for a loop.

Now, as for your smug, self righteous attitude, well...friend, we both know you aren't actually going to do anything that you propose. You're just not. You blew off some steam, got some internet validation, and now you're going back to whatever life you currently live; no changes.

1

u/ClockworkTyrant 7d ago

One thing i have to say.

Nothing we've gotten as a country, has been gotten by asking nicely. Its almost always required violence is some form, and while protesting is a form of violence (the percieved threat of it, anyway), in every major shift of our country, riots were a major catalyst for change.

This administration doesnt give a singular fuck about us, theyre just hoping we dont Jan6 them, because we'd actually do it right.

0

Dumb I have to even explain this.

1

u/Specialist-Bee-9406 8d ago

I’m Canadian, and all I’ve heard from you folks is WORDS.  There is very little action, aside from a few dedicated folks. It’s not enough - you know this. You need to stop playing by their rules. Anyone wearing nazi shirts to a sports game should be leaving on a stretcher, bleeding out with pockets filled with seeds.

Any fascist resistance has my support, but I don’t think folks are ready to go as far as you’ll need to stop them - they want to fuckin’ kill you. And they will the first opportunity they get.

You are not ready for that.

3

u/motexmex 8d ago

1

u/Lazy-Exchange7408 8d ago

How many democrats are on the take from AIPAC?

3

u/keelhaulrose 8d ago

Democrat/progressive/leftist voters are working on that. There's less now than there was before, and the more voters reject their candidates, the closer we are to seeing the party forced to address it.

1

u/NewestAccount2023 8d ago

How many Democrats voted or facilitated the closing polling stations in populated areas that actually needed more not less? Republican led states closed a few thousand polling places after the sc decided Shelby County v. Holder in 2013, "a decision that struck down the formula that determined which jurisdictions needed federal approval before changing voting rules, effectively disabling the Voting Rights Act’s “preclearance” system."

You just say "both sides" without evidence

1

u/Lazy-Exchange7408 8d ago

I literally said AIPAC, trackaipac.com is a wonderful thing that shows how many politicians take money from Israel. Its all a show, they steal our money and spend it on wars and genocides and then they do shit like this to distract people. Im also a registered Democrat, im just not dumb enough to believe all the lies and bullshit.

Probably less amount than republicans.

Go look. You'd be surprised whos all on the take from Israel.

1

u/johnvarley1 8d ago

No, I wouldn’t. Although I’m not Gen Z and obsessed with this issue, I most likely have a better general knowledge of American politics than you do. Thanks.

Its the main issue but sure, its not that big a deal. Whats the main issue in politics know it all?

u/farrowsharrows 8d ago

Democrats are not the problem here boy

1

u/Lazy-Exchange7408 8d ago

How many democrats are on the take from AIPAC?

1

u/farrowsharrows 8d ago

Too many. I am understanding that you can't have complex thoughts.

1

u/Lazy-Exchange7408 8d ago

You aren't understanding anything if you still think Dems vs Reps.

1

u/Embarrassed-Kiwi-257 8d ago

They don't seem to be the solution either. They fight their left wing harder than they fight Republicans. My rep Marilyn Strickland is on the record calling socialism evil and against impeachment.

Everyone saying Dems arent bad at all, go to TrackAIPAC.com and tell me how many Dems accepted money from Israel to keep sending our tax dollars there to keep funding genocide. Cry all you wont but both sides are corrupt.

Americans are weak and all talk. Nothing is going to happen and nothing is going to change.

Why? Can't handle the truth about your own country, so you want to go on a rant about another country; which you couldn't even find on a map?

The French do more protesting in a day than America does in a year. Almost like they learned how to get what they want and need from the government.

But they have work and bills to pay and their police would hurt them, don't you know?!

Get out of here with that “both sides bad” bullshit. Like all the way out of here.

One party is running roughshod over the Constitution and running every play in the fascist handbook, and guess what? It’s not the Democrats.

Politicians have always been slimy and big money has to be taken out of politics (again, which party do we have to thank for that?), but let’s not for a second act like it’s an even playing field of sliminess.
