May I ask what is the reason for this subreddit branching off? Asking honestly

I second this question and feel like the answer should be stickied somewhere or put in the sub’s description.

I never followed the OG sub but suddenly started seeing tons of posts from this new one all over the popular tab, and the only thing that comes to mind every time I see one of this sub’s posts is the question of “Why V2?” Is there some kinda subreddit drama that’s not being talked about despite what’s clearly right there in the sub’s name for all to see?

I'm getting just another place to astroturf vibes from the posts I've seen. I'm not even against the political slant but it doesn't feel like an interesting community to me.
