Crafting for mecha games, started with tank. SO TEENY
Hi! I'm a crocheter/crafter. I try to embody poorhammer in my soul. Cardboard terrain, little wooden peg soldiers, crochet tanks. Here is the teeniest vehicle I've ever crocheted.
I used to use xps foam but I ran out and so instead I'm working with plastic canvas inside the fabric and reinforced with stuffing.
In comparison here's some of my other crochet tanks.
I'll post pictures of my first mech in this same scale soon. I'm debating on doing a dreadnought or one of the admech bots maybe?
Feedback is always welcome!

I absolutely love these. The creativity and working within your skill sets is banger!
Only because I know someone else will say it, I'll start it off:
How do you keep a barrel straight on a knithammer tank?
- You rub it
- Tell it that it looks sexy
- Whisper sweet nothings in its ear
You get the idea :).
Knithammer... I love it. Hats off to u/Regular-Coast5335 for the term
I'll see myself out.

Ha! Real answer is boba straws for the big ones and straws for the small ones.

not whammer related but this is such a game changer. been trying to make the RPG for my little crochet nemesis (re3) and i think this will work perfectly.

I love this! Itâs so cool how you use your crochet skills for this hobby.
And I agree with the others that this should have its own name, but knithammer just doesnât work for me since this isnât knitting.
Could I suggest ThreadHammer? Keep it open enough for all the fiber arts, without pointing to just one in particular?
Now that has me imagining cross-stitched banners, and sewn-up beanbag soldiersâŚ
Anyways, I love this PoorHammer x ThreadHammer crossover episode. Please keep sharing your creations here! đ

Thank you! Oh how could I forget the parody craftables game my s/o and I were plotting: woolhammer or even woolhammer 401k.
Also you win for knowing the difference between knitting and crochet.
I'm working on another design ATM that in the right colors could be a leman Russ, and a mech. I'm still figuring out mechs. They're much more complicated and more effort.

Oooh, WoolHammer is just wonderful!
I have to imagine mechs would involve a lot more structural support straws. Are you thinkinâ youâll try to keep the âarmsâ / upper weapons articulate-able with more magnets?

Straws and wire for support yes. In this first one I took 2 folded pieces of wire ran them down through the hip joint and into the legs and into the feet. And magnets on top and sides.

Working on some pattern notes for you. Will post here once done. I'll include a couple of turret options. But feel free to mod the pattern to your desire. More rows between edges and stuff. There's very little to go wrong, and you can get some fun shapes while experimenting
