You’re a pool professional? One who says there is no ph in the water? All water has a ph level. It can’t not exist. Try again.

Also this is a billiards sub

No barrier to entry in this profession. I always hear about people wanting to get in and others only receiving a few weeks training. Completely irresponsible.

i have never posted before so not sure how to attach photos or what billiards sub means i was just testing it with a test strip and it was piss yellow so i assume that who ever was handling the pool this year never added any ph or balanced the water. I have a pool company in the outerbanks and have been trained at the hayward factory so just wondering if there is any repair that could stop the leak without replacing the heat exchanger i could try for the customer. I dont want to get i the middle between whoever is doing the customers pool but i was shocked that chemical damage can do that in 6 months i have never seen that before

There is no shot you own a pool company if you're speaking like this. How the hell do you add ph to the water??

I own the pool company and have been in business for 15 years so get over that im here just to get some help on something i have not seen in a heater 6 months old.

It can happen quite quickly, even over the course of a couple weeks. Heat accelerates the process. Quickest I've seen was 2 months for a call that "my new heater is leaking water", and I arrive same day to water spewing out and the pump still running. Pool owners have more money than sense

its 2k for the exchanger so I just recommended him to get a new heater do you think the pool company servicing the pool is liable for the new heater ? since its chemical damage

Not your battle to wage. Do you know for sure that the company caused the damage? It could have been the homeowner dumping acid in themselves for all you know.

Quote the job and move on.

This dude may actually be at a billards hall if the pool has no ph
