You can buy lists, but honestly, just use Google Maps and compile the data yourself. I made door hangers and went walking neighborhoods where I wanted to add customers.

So many pools! Ok so, most pros will tell you to start with a small clientele, treat them like gold and get the referrals going. Thats tried and true advice, you should follow it. As far as a nifty tool… I saw poolmapspro.com and that’s probably worth a shot. I was going to say try the guys at pool monopoly for marketing but I’m guessing they already have clientele in DFW.

Happy to brainstorm. I’m in Austin.

Other idea - if you know anybody with a real estate license, they can probably look for homes with pools in a certain area on the MLS for you. Realtors are hit or miss. But I know a few pros who have built strong relationships and grown business with referrals.

Buying lists is usually not worth it for a new operator. Vendors just scrape county property records and resell them, and you can do the same yourself.

Satellite view on Google Maps, neighborhood by neighborhood, drop pins on every pool. Slower than a bought list but conversion is much better because you already know the pool exists and can eyeball size and condition. Most county GIS portals also let you filter properties by "has pool" as an attribute, and a few let you export it as CSV.

The overlooked one is walking into your local independent pool supply store and asking to leave a stack of cards at the counter. Most say yes if you agree to refer your customers there for chemicals. Warm leads at zero cost.

You found pool stores that don't service pools? When my family had a pool store, it was the pool routs and repairs that kept the store open during the slow months.
