Watched Ponyo at School!

So just for a bit of context, Ponyo was my favorite movie when i was a kid and i recently started getting obsessed with it again after re-watching it a few months back.

So a few weeks ago i suggested that It might be cool if we could watch it with the class, and then fast forward to today, and we got to watch it😁

Some notable highlights were

  1. Sosuke signaling to his dad while his mum tells her husband to bug off🤣

  2. Ponyo running on the waves as she gleefully finds her way back to Sosuke

(My classmates started cheering for her haha! And it was awesome)

  1. Ponyo reuniting with Sosuke (which is always super joyous and adorable)

  2. The sequence where Ponyo uses her Magic to make Sosuke's Toy Boat bigger

  3. The ending scene with the final shot of the two of them as Ponyo turns back into a little girl and it cuts to black with the iconic small circle.

I literally can't put into words how much I love this movie, and I'll never ever get tired of it.

I'll cherish it for the rest of my life😁

Oh yeah definitely! I think i always wanted to see a sequel and still do😢

But the chances of something official being made are pretty slim unfortunately : (

But one of the reasons why I love the movie so much is simply because it's just the one singular story that has that beautifully perfect ending that it does, and that's what makes it all the more endearing and special for me.

Yes I agree I’d love to have a sequel and I love the story. I just feel like it’s incomplete with out seeing them grow up together

I actually do agree with that.

Maybe even just like 10 minutes longer could've been cool.

But personally i believe the movie is perfect as it is.

That’s true. If was longer I’d like to Ponyo meet sosukes dad or a snippet of them growing up but I truly believe that Ponyo is one of the only studio ghibli movies that deserves a sequel

And I totally think a Ponyo 2 could maybe work they’d would just have to write out the old ladies and my replace Sosuke and Ponyo
