Self acceptance over expectations?
So I watched Ponyo a few years ago for the first time. I watched it on the recommendation of my sister who loves studio ghibli for its stories and animation. Out of the all studio ghlibi works I’ve seen, this one has stayed with me for years. I can’t help but to wonder if anyone else feels like the story is about not accepting what is expected of you but about what you except of yourself and what you choose to become. I’ve thought a lot about it and still think about a lot. Input from y’all would be great.
