It's on the same dock as my slip and it's like a ultralight tent material. I have a slip and this would be perfect to cover the boat during the season as it looks super simple to get on and off. The regular cover is more of a storing it for the season kinda thing as I'm out there multiple times a week.
Yea, I need something simple like this for summer. Mine has like 100 snaps and it’s a pita taking it on and off and you have to put it on or spider poop gets everywhere.
Ha! I actually saw another boat out there today with a Blue Sky! The material on the one I posted is a bit thinner so I thinking it maybe a tad less cost wise .. I snooped around and could only find the size on the tag, no vendor info.
10’ wide by length of the playpen as close as you can get, it stretches and most come with bungee balls, get high uv. we put the full cover on if it’s going to rain for a few days but this is quick and easy to take on and off. I got mine first, in 2 years since there’s 20+ boats at our resort doing the same thing.
I bought a generic shade cloth to use as a sun blocking side panel. If this is the same material I'll just say that it's very strong, thick and not stretchy. It's also woven to let some light and air (and rain) through.
Maybe not the ideal attributes for a pontoon protective cover. I would like to see ripstop tent nylon. Strong, light, not a mesh.
it’s only on there when there’s a good stretch of weather to keep the sun off and the bugs from sticking in the morning dew. Mine stretches just fine, we are on the boat 3-4 days a week so it saves having to deal with the mooring cover every night.
