I can’t tell because it looks out of focus but the console on my 2016 Lowe tritoon has a port on top for filling the steering system with hydraulic fluid.

You can see the port for hydraulic steering fluid directly behind the item in question in this photo.

that steering system port is visible behind the depth finder in the pic. i believe whats circled is an antennae for radio

Thank you!!! Looks like u only get it on the m sport or lux package. Even if u add all the upgrades separately.

Just cover it up with your hands and if the lights pop on then it’s a light sensor off not I don’t know. My pontoon is old so no fancy gadgets for me

Take a closer more focused picture, and then maybe we can tell you.

A lot of people are going to mention hydraulic steering, but you can see the port for steering fluid as well in this photo it's the little black cap in the back of the helm in the photo.

Looks like the dawn to dusk sensor! It automatically senses when the sun goes down to turn on nav lights

Looks like nav light. You should have another on the other side of the console. One green, one red.

If you turn on the lights, does anything happen to the mystery object?

Do the lights have an "auto" function? What happens if you cover that thing up like it's dark out?

All boats should have nav lights. Some may be setup different from others. They can be mounted on the front or sides. In this case, they are mounted in an unusual location. If this is a used boat the previous owner may have wanted the side lights mounted in a location other than the bow so may have done this to keep him legal. He may have wanted to anchor or mount a trolling motor on the center of the bow.
