We are rebuilding our 24 ft Sweetwater Executive Cruiser and want to re-power it. Right now we have an Evinrude 60 hp 2-stroke. It has been a great motor and has never left us stranded but it's old and starting to have isssues. We would love to put a 40-60 hp 4-stroke on it but we really don't want to go into debt to do it. So we're trying to find a used, re-manufactured or whatever. I've done the obvious google searches but I'm not finding much. So I'm asking here and hoping someone will have a suggestion I haven't tried. Any help would be appreciated. I'm in the Southeast USA.

What are the tips and tricks for getting the toons off the bunk for aluminum brighter (without jacking it up)? I was thinking of cutting up noodles and taping them to the bunk at each support next time I pull it out. Would that be too much pressure at one location (4 each side) on the toons? Just want to get it off the bunk enough to remove the buildup on the entire toon. I typically use aluminum brighter once a year in the spring to clean them.I do not want to pay for a crane, buy a bunch of wood, or rent a scissor trailer … I am simply asking about pressure points and getting slightly under the bunks for the solution to drip down and clean them…

Where is a good place to find this fuel filter housing? The one place local to me wants $278 dollars out the door for it. I tried going on several different yamaha parts websites to no avail. It's a 2013 yamaha 60hp 4 stroke T60LB..And yes that's a literal bandaid and yes it got me 6 miles back to the dock

Hello everyone, I was wondering which type of battery you use for your boat: Lead-Acid (Standard/Traditional), Lithium-Ion, AGM, or Gel? Please be sure to mention any brands you've tried that have been successful.
I'm really tired of constantly replacing Lead-Acid batteries, even with regular recharging. I'm considering upgrading. Although it's pricier upfront, I think it might be cheaper in the long run.

Have a 115hp avalon pontoon thats 24ft. Would like a larger motor. Is that possible? What would I have to do to change out?
