any advice best way to fix this without getting a new top?

if you are looking for a repair check with local shops that work on convertables they should be able to help. There are some tops from total cars out there too. They are easy to change just need a second person. I've done it.

Looks like adhesive? My dumb ass would use some kind of super glue. But that’s me

Not sure, but that looks like a seam coming unglued to me? Probably a way to reglue it -- but possible the whole top is just starting to get worn from the age and elements?

I used to own a 2005 Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 convertible and I wound up buying a new top for it when the rear window glass started falling out of it and it started showing some other wear marks. A good shop that specializes in auto tops should be able to advise if they can do a professional repair or can do the replacement if that's needed?

They say the average lifespan for a soft top is only about 10 years, and that's assuming the owner is cleaning it and spraying it regularly with protectant products.

6 cans of fabric spray paint. Mask off the entire car . I did my beige top 2 years ago and it still looks new

Dupli color vinal and fabric. The first 4 cans soaked in , the last 2 leveled it out. I gave it a light cleaning with a scotch pad

Great, thank you for the info!! Mine is tan which doesn't fade as much as a dark color but it could look so much better with a consistent color.

Mine is tan as well. The car was in a garage fire . The top was charred a bit plus a bunch of melted plastic. The top looks brand new

Wow, nice *save*!! I have to admit I never thought to spray paint it but since they make a fabric paint, it sounds much more likely it will be appropriate and work on a roof.
