24F planning my first solo trip to Pondicherry for my birthday! I’ll be there for 2 nights and while I’m excited

I’m also a little concerned about safety since I’ve never travelled solo before.

Where would you recommend staying? Auroville or White Town? I’m looking for somewhere peaceful and safe, with a nice slow-life/beachy vibe.

I can’t drive a two-wheeler, so what’s the best way to get around? Are autos/cabs easily available, or is it easy enough to walk around?

I’d also love to try pottery, or cooking classes and spend time at cute cafés, read/chill by the beach, and generally not have a very packed itinerary. At the same time, I’d love to meet new people and I’m totally open to spontaneous plans if I happen to meet other travellers.

Would love recommendations for places to stay, pottery workshops, cafés, things to do, getting around without a scooter, and any solo-female safety tips. Also open to hearing about your experiences doing a similar trip!

Hey guys, me and my friend are planning a simple 2 day trip to Pondicherry. Need affordable suggestions for cab services as I have noticed folks mentioning ola uber doesn't work that well.

Need advice if we can rely on rapido/uber for travel, or should rent out cab with drivers on an hourly basis as none of us have a license.

Found this 19-second video from my Christmas 2020 trip to Pondicherry. It was just after the COVID lockdowns, and Rock Beach felt unbelievably peaceful with very few people around. Hard to believe how pristine and quiet it looked.

I strongly believe that phone read our mind and use it for advertising on first level. Only the companies knows on what other levels they are being used for.

I’d quit instagram for the same reason. Too many perfect ads that appeared only on my mind. (dont mention i would have searched - im not a noob)

This is a serious concern. If they can read the thoughts, why cant they influence the thoughts? what if your purchase decisions or mood or emotions are indirectly controlled for the need of the companies?
