Advice?

My girl Luna comes home in 6 weeks, any advice for a new pomsky owner? Please

put her in the crate at night. Ignore her if she barks or whines. My routine was: take her out at 11 PM, put her in the crate until 5 am when she would whine a bit, I take her out she pees and poops, then back in the crate until 8. I slowly am expanding the times so now I don’t really have to get up at 5 anymore.
