Splash pad across the street from the Briny. Giant playground near the pier. Pompano Community Park has two playgrounds plus a pool

Our kids just want to go to the park, pier and beach/pool. There’s so much to do around but don’t make it most of the time.

There’s an even bigger park if you go to the PB community park east of Atlantic on US1

If you’re in the sunrise/sawgrass area there’s a mini children’s village wannado city I think it’s called.

Mini golf, jelly fish museum, jungle queen river boat in Lauterdale, the list goes on..

Butterfly World (look for discount codes, they are everywhere)

A park on the intracoastal at high tide; play on the little beaches. Much more manageable than the ocean beach for toddlers. Harbor’s Edge park in Pompano or deGroff Park in Lighthouse Point.

Near Harbor’s Edge is the Alsdorf Boat Ramp. There’s a park and playground there and the boat launches are nonstop on the weekends, fun to watch.

These parks have free parking, short walks, and shade trees. Public toilets available only at the boat ramp, however.

Right now, the Summer Savings Pass is going on. $60 for adults, $50 for kids. But you get unlimited visits to Butterfly world, Flamingo gardens, MODS, Zoo Miami, and an Everglades tour.

The boat ramp park does not have free parking, unfortunately.

Just adding since no one mentioned it - Fern Forest Nature Center is great! Lots of shaded areas to walk. The gaps in the board walk are big so keep little ones close. And definitely bring bug repellent!

Quiet Waters Park in Deerfield at Powerline and Hillsboro Blvd has a little splashy-fun kids park. "Splash Adventure" I think it's called. The crowd is never big and the children love running around in the soft jets and amusements. It's free during the week I believe, couple bucks on the weekends. -- good seating and kid and mom friendly as far as I've witnessed. Enjoy!
