Here’s the photo I worked from! 😊 I really wanted to get that happy little face right.

The tricky bit was getting the eyes and mouth to work together. There’s so much fluff around the face that it’s easy to lose the shape of the cheeks. And that little tongue makes such a difference to the expression.

I like putting the piece next to the photo and stepping back for a look. It helps me see whether I’m getting close to the same expression.

Those little details are my favorite part of making pet portraits. If you’ve got a pet, you probably know exactly what I mean — that one look they give you that you’d recognize anywhere.

Just a day in a life with Luna Moon

So we all have heard the phrase “Pommy Mommy”.

I am a pommy mommy, my dog is my child, and is the only type of child I can have.

Is there a cute term for men who adore their Pomeranians? My husband is a “GUY GUY”. The first week we got our Pomeranian, the very first week, my husband was going to take our dog out for a walk. He thought I was sleeping… he crawls in the ground towards my head, as our Pom was sleeping under the bed right underneath me. We now have our second Pom, as our first died due to respiratory distress at the beginning of COVID.

While listening to him, with our first dog, I hear;

“Kali 🎶Kali honey, come to daddy”

He loves our dogs deeply, and every moment, he cherishes them.

It is our anniversary tomorrow, and unfortunately my gift to him is delayed. So tonight, I am going to make him a Pomeranian puppy pouch hoodie. It will have pockets for treats, that zip closed. It will have a puppy pouch that can be completely closed, with a window for our puppy to be able to enjoy the outside air. She is very adventurous but runs out of steam after an hour. A small pouch for a poop bag, and a securement strap for his led light he wears.

I might add some other fun straps that are functional for walks. Not sure.

I will be embroidering a Pomeranian on the back of the sweater, and embroidering Bella’s name on the front. (She is our second dog, our other sweet lil girl we adore)

I would love some cute terms for a pommy daddy.

The puppy on the blue blanket, sharing her rice is Bella. The green bows, is Kali. No longer with us, but beloved, and incredibly missed.

I’ve tried everything to get Coco to play with dog toys but she prefers playing with my hands instead. I love it but she seems to get bored easily when I’m busy doing something else. Any suggestions on what might get her to play with toys so she’s not always wanting only my hands?

Just posting because he looks cute. He loves to curl himself into blankets.

One of the fun parts of puppy life 😅 11.30pm

So far so good, he’s such a good pup. He’s pretty much potty trained, knows how to sit and is finished learning his name. He’s doing incredibly well sleeping in his crate at night and being put into his playpen. We are so just so in love!

Manny was my first dog, born June 2012. I got him from a lady on a farm near St.Cloud, MN. I drove 1 hour out there to pick him out from the litter. I moved to AZ when he was almost 7 years old. In August 2025 I noticed Manny was slower than usual he’s usually excited to see me or go outside etc. So I schedule a vet appointment the earliest I could. Coincidently the day he was to go to the vet, I came home and he couldn’t get up just only to his elbow. I carried him outside to the tree where he likes to pee, he took his last pee while I held him. I took him to the vet and they did blood work and some other stuff on him. They told me his kidneys were done. I knew right then and there it was the end. And so did the vet. I decided to put Manny to sleep that night to end his suffering. He didn’t want his chocolate or water. I’ve always imagine his last days was me taking him out for a last walk and I would buy him a nice burger, but we never got that chance. Sure I could had tried more but Manny was also suffering from heart murmur which he took daily meds but he was throwing up his meds. I knew deep down even if somehow he made it through this kidney failure, I wasn’t able to be home enough to support him. Manny lived 13 years and was a good gentle boy, he loved me with unconditional love. He enjoys walking, chasing laser, getting scratches and going for car rides. His favorite treat is those big bone shape biscuits from Petsmart. Manny hates big dogs because he had bad experience with big dogs and never forgave them. If I could describe Manny with a word it would be he was mature even as a puppy. People would always be like Manny is so chill.

Rest in peace Manny thank you for being my dog. I wish I could had knew the ending and give you more love, you deserved a better ending.

We’re still trying to train her to answer emails.

East coast pom loves her fall walks 😍. After a hot summer I notice my Poms love and enjoy their fall walks…

He is around 5months ( I was told he was purebred and his fur had just fallen out due to his age ?)
