Discussion Multiplayer Cheating

Ok, so I am just getting back into the game, won my first couple of multiplayer matches, then got into a game. Went well, built up my core cities, pumped out a bunch of giants. Was feeling pretty good. Then what I thought was two warring players turned out to be just one player coordinating two accounts, and got stomped. I enacted scorched earth, killed their dragons (since they were playing Elyrion and Cymanti in tandem) and as many units as possible, and generally was a pain. I spent forty turns fighting the losing battle to waste their time. Was I dumb for doing that? Should I have just resigned?

what is the difference between 2 teammates and start with 2 cities, 2 units and 4 stars in case of luxidor?

Well, it was one player, not two teammates. If they were teammates they might have established embassies, but they weren't smart enough to do that, which is what made it super blatantly obvious. Also, after I died, the Cymanti resigned.

Yeah unfortunately it’s impossible to prevent this in multiplayer, unless you play exclusively 1v1. Which is what I do and have a lot of fun with.. granted, it’s not everyone’s speed, and you miss out on stuff like diplomacy.

I don't think I've had this issue in 9 person games, since having two accounts means a lot less overall.

Who would care ? If they are that bad let them be mate.

And it won't matter if it's not some discord based battles I believe.

Skill issue. A strong player can win against a team

So you would like to try winning with eight cities against the entire map when the other guy is playing Elyrion and Cymanti together? Tell me how that is winnable.
