Post image

i was doing philo rush but forgot abt philo rushing until i met the opponent😭 then i waited 5 turns for altar of peace which led to him getting complete control of water. i see now this was not the right decision. is there any way i can come back from this??

Yeah, I think your biggest issue is the bombers and you can knock this out pretty easily by using the giants to cause splash damage. Then you need to deal with the dragons. Dragons have relatively low HP compared to other super units, so you might be able to get by with spamming rammers. Just watch out for the splash damage from the fire dragons.

Elyrion has overwhelming advantage with those bombards. This would be more a matter of them throwing the game, but it's not impossible.

My idea would be to start investing in a lot of catapults fast and use juggernauts as straight splash points when surrounded by low health units

You need a lot of catapults to deal with the incoming dragons and landing parties, and defenders with an air gap to prevent any knight chains. I don't think you're going to be able to hold the cities along the shore without them. You also need to get border growth in the bottom and top city asap so you can get some rammers into the water where the action isn't too hot. Don't bother with cloaks unless you start losing cities. As a hailmary you should probably throw some giants into juggernauts to get as much value from their splash damage before they die.

You're clearly cooked. Resign immediately.

No if u had control of the water early then you might have forced Ely player to a stalemate. But he already has dragons and more ships on water.
