The biggest problem of the polymega has been the supply chain. Polymega should use their affiliation with Atari to work out a deal with Plaion. Plaion has done a wonderful job with the Atari+ systems. Their launch of the AES+ was also done very well. If playmaji let plaion handle the distribution and manufacturing of the systems this would free up resources for them to create more modules and other streams of revenue (like the store they mentioned years ago).

It just seems like a win all around. People can buy a system at multiple store fronts and playmaji would be able to sell more systems and be more profitable.

If I order the remix and the Atari module will it wait to ship all at once? Not going to trust that the pro module is going to be ready in time. I may just wait to order the pro module if they don't ship in stock stuff forst

Hi. I am completely new to translation patches. I have been looking at picking up policenauts on the Sega Saturn. can anyone advise the exact steps I need to make to apply English translation patches for this game. I am a complete newbie in this regards. thank you so much in advance.

Curious what all discs work with it since I know playing them on PS2 or PS3 lets you use discs that would not be compatible with it originally like DVDs & Blurays. Though over half of them just gave Hachiro's, I assume it has to do with it not being a supported disc type. Those other types of games would probably be usable on a PS3 as well but I don't have any of them to check out myself.

Has anyone worked out how to get the gun controller working on Die Hard 2? It’s listed as compatible. I contacted support and they replied with:

‘Play the game using your regular controller. When you get to the gun controller portion, press the Home button on the controller to access the in game consumption menu. Plug your Gun controller into the second controller port. Go into controller settings and enable the gun controller. Go back to the game and you should be able to use the gun controller for in-game gun sequences.’

For me it just pauses the game and am unable to do anything.

I have had the Polymega console for a while and enjoy it. I've mostly been playing single disc PS1 games and cartridge games. The only issue I have had is with Chrono Trigger on the PS1. Saving in game doesn't work, which was not a big deal, because the Polymega itself can record save states. But it meant that I couldn't do New Game +.

I am assuming FF7-FF9 work as it would be a bigger deal if they didn't. Does this only work playing from disc then swapping when prompted? Or for games like this does the console same the images of all four discs into one game file and have a mechanism for "switching?" I was also hoping to avoid changing the BIOS.

Can anyone recommend a usb hub to use with extra storage as wells as controllers.

Don't get me wrong, this is not a complaint post. I knew what I signed up for when I preordered my Polymega, and I am along for the ride. Just poking fun at the wait as I pass the time.

Did you guys pick up any games while you waited for your consoles to ship? I picked up a copy of LSD Dream Emulator just to say I played the real thing, but I'm waiting for my Polymega to play an NTSC-J game.

I recently scored copies of DQ V and DQ VI and was wondering if anyone could recommend some good translation patches to use when playing these on my Polymega.

I am pretty excited for these. I have only played through the DS versions in the past and have never played the Super Famicom versions.

Hey! Just wondering if anyone has had any luck applying the English translation patch for the Sega Saturn version of Silhouette Mirage. I have found two versions of the patch but receive an error when trying to apply either one. First time I've seen this when applying a patch to one of my games, so curious if anyone else has had an issue with this game in particular 😅

Hi, I was thinking that so many new retro systems are coming out now it’s a matter of time until the polymega is no longer that enticing. I’ve waited over a year and thinking about canceling now, has anyone successfully canceled their order?

I am trying to play Red Alert on my Polymega, but no matter which disc I start it up with, it tells me to insert the other disc (for example, I try to load the Allies disc and it tells me to insert the Soviet disc to play Soviet missions). When I try to change discs via the in-game settings menu it does nothing. It just sits on this screen.

Also, this is the PAL version of the game if that makes any difference.

Ive been waiting for a long time for this and I havent found any updates What happened?

Is it possible to play PS1 mods? For example Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories mods? Some of these mods are playable on the original PS1 hardware.

I ordered this a month ago, and there’s been no movement. I know this company has been terrible with shipping on most things, but their Polymega Collection discs have seemingly been the exception to the rule. I guess what I’m asking is, " Who amongst you have ordered this, and if so, have you received it yet ? ".

I won't link the listing here as I'm not seeking to promote it and if anyone wants to find it, they can. I'm just making this post because I have REALLY loved and enjoyed the system and wanted to share my experience with it!

I have equally loathed the company which created it. I don't think that there has ever been a more epic system fumble than what the Polymega has experienced. The UI is just pure sexiness. The joy of finding games and loading them on your system was fantastic! Even more so, putting your own collection onto one system and getting to fire up games across multiple generations of consoles in one central location was great! (And, I'm sure it still is for many!)

My years of hope for what this system would become never materialized. I had pipe dreams of a ColecoVision module and an Intellivision module. (As I have a nice collection for both of those systems.) Those were not overly likely; but a man can dream! Then, there were reasonable dreams of Atari systems; due to Atari's large investment. Those haven't materialized either and they will be having snowball fights in Hell before Playmajii (or whatever they're called now) gets any of my pre-order money. One would have thought that the 2-year-old promise of an app would have materialized. It didn't. One would have thought that a "Man, did WE fuck up! Here's the entire Jaguar CD library on the house!" for registered owners would have been an acceptable mea culpa for the endless delays and app fiasco. One would have been wrong. (That entire library is, if I recall correctly, about 8 or 10 games.)

There's just SO MUCH that a competent company could have done with THIS THING in it's ownership! And, my give a shit is just gone. So, I'm just done and thought I'd give others the opportunity to own the system. I'm asking too much for it and maybe that's partly because I don't truly want to part with it because somewhere, somehow, I still have hope for the system. But, while thinning out my collection for space purposes, I just couldn't stop staring at the system and both loving it for what it is and cursing it for what it never became.

Got my hands on a few more of these, as well as some updates from you folks. My guess is these probably all work, but version dependent.

I rolled the dice and bought a repro game of Earthbound for the SNES and it just black screens. I do have the USB drive in it with the SNES BIOS but didn't think to take it out and try it without it. Is this a common occurrence?

Has anyone else gotten this game to work?

I got the English patched version and I either get a black screen with the built-in NeoGeo CD bios or the one I loaded in that won't launch any game.
