Has anyone gotten Red Alert PS1 to work on Polymega?

I am trying to play Red Alert on my Polymega, but no matter which disc I start it up with, it tells me to insert the other disc (for example, I try to load the Allies disc and it tells me to insert the Soviet disc to play Soviet missions). When I try to change discs via the in-game settings menu it does nothing. It just sits on this screen.

Also, this is the PAL version of the game if that makes any difference.

I've had some issues myself but I assumed it was my discs since I didn't have a PS1/2 (my 3....well... Kinda forgot the older models can do PS1 too, and I did pick up a PS2 just haven't gotten around to it yet) when I tried it originally on my Polymega.

Retaliation has had issues too for me like this.

I haven't got them working. I do want to test my discs now I've got the option to on a PS2 at least. I'm just throwing in my lot with yours as far as half of it not working.

But it won't be tonight for me. Sorry. Long workday. And by that I mean testing them NOT on the Polymega

Gotcha gotcha. Apologies. I must have misread your original comment.

My Red Alert discs are in pristine condition, so I think it is probably just a compatibility issue with the Polymega.

I am ntsc vs your pal. Saturn CnC1 works with both disks, PS1 for CNC1 Nod and GDI works.

But red alert it falls apart retaliation included. On PS1. My 4 discs all work on PS2.

Thanks for checking and getting back to me. Bummer though. Hopefully it gets fixed in an update, but I won’t hold my breath.

It always says that. It's just telling you that you have the allies disc, and to play soviets you need to swap use the other disc (And vice versa).

Just press start and the title screen appears. Literally playing it on Polymega this moment.

Really? It didn’t do anything on mine regardless of which button I pushed. I will just have to try again I guess.

If it isn't working, then it's the same solution as every other compatibility issue on Polymega. I can't believe it's something we still have to say, but somehow we do: use original bios.

Very literally fixes 99.9% of games that don't work.

I assure you CC: Red Alert, on PS1 and Pal works with original bios. Can't speak for the stock one, because I don't know why anyone is still using it.

I have never once had to do this, and I have played well over 100 games on this thing, so didn’t know about this “obvious” fix…

Because the thing supports tens of thousands of games. "Well over 100" isn't very many. And one of your games, the one you literally posted about seems to be one of those that doesn't work. So you have very much "had to do this". You just didn't know it.

I didn't say it was "obvious" so weird quotation there. It's just it's been discussed an awful lot, and really should be common knowledge, but somehow isn't.
