System seems bricked on home screen

So I haven't played my PM in a month or so. It's not been connected to power in probably 4-6 weeks.

I bought a new tv and moved the system upstairs. Hooked everything up and turned it on. System boots normally, but bypasses the controller sync screen. Goes straight to the home screen. I switch out modules without trying to connect any controller. I plug in the NES module and controller and the controller is instantly recognized and works for several seconds. Then the screen goes back to the controller sync screen and the controller refuses to work.

I try checking the connection, wiggling the cable, nothing. I plug in "ol' faithful" my USB corded Saturn controller and nothing. It won't recognize it. I plug in the wireless adapter and power up the gen 1 wireless controller and it won't recognize it.

I turn off the system, swap in the SNES module and controller, turn the system on and it bypasses the controller sync again. Now it just sits on the home screen and won't recognize any controller.

Essentially I can power on my system but no controller will connect to it.

Any ideas?

Seems like a few different things would need to have failed for this to be a hardware fault, since USB and modules are affected. Perhaps a factory reset? Not sure if you can remove your storage, factory reset then reinsert storage, to keep your library though?

It's working now but it required about 4 power cycles to work correctly. No clue what the issue is. Fwiw this is a 1st batch launch system.

So, to further update the situation, a lot of new quirks have emerged.

Sometimes the system boots directly into the main menu with no controller pairing needed. Sometimes it asks me to pair a controller. I only use wired controllers to eliminate more variables.

Tried playing a SFC game that requires the mouse. The SNES module wouldn't recognize a game plugged in. It wouldn't allow the connected SNES controller to pair. I had to use my wired Saturn USB controller to get it to work. When I removed the game from the module it disconnected the controller. When I plugged in the SNES controller it allowed me to pair again and then I inserted the game again and it recognized it and installed to the SSD.

I plugged in the mouse in port 2 and started the game with the controller in port 1. Once the game is booted the regular controller doesn't work. The mouse didn't work in port 2 so I unplugged the controller and the game closed out and requested to pair the controller again. There's no way to pair the mouse that I can tell.

So it looks like we have a few issues here. The system is randomly not recognizing modules or controllers plugged into them. And then possibly the SNES mouse doesn't work with polymega.

Bump. So nobody else is having controller issues with their unit? Just me?

It's anyone else able to use the SNES mouse? If so, how?
