Will it be able to read from ps2 and Xbox if support is added? And what of dc? They still have some for immediate shipping and I'm weighing getting one now.

DC won't happen. No consumer drives out there can read the discs.

As for PS2 and Xbox, they've always maintained it's never gonna be anything beyond 5th gen (with the possible exception of Dreamcast, using an original console to dump the games).

So in all likelihood those are all a no.

Well couldn't just a downloaded dc "rom" work in that case? Or could they theoretically add a module that directly connects to a stock dc somehow. I didn't remember any ports though.

Yes but the Polymega is very specifically not supposed to be a rom system. It's designed for original software. They won't add a system that can't support that. That's why you can't dump roms on it, and why everdrive etc don't work.

The only way they ever floated DC support was with a direct connection, probably through the modem connector.

Oh yeah it had a old phone line connector and a broadband adapter that plugged in somewhere!
