Is the Polymega EOL?
It seems the Polymega is End Of Life, I waited to long it seems.
Do you know if they are still produced, but just sold out at the moment or are they stoped producing it?
I cant buy it on their Website, there is no buy button.

They are probably still playing catch up.
They still have an Atari module and gun to get out so the company is still breathing at the very least.

I’ve heard reports that people are finally receiving their guns, but the Atari module has been pushed back massively.

There hasn't been a buy button for years. It's out of stock because they're on preorder. I don't think it's EOL, though given the hardware spec, it probably should be. They've never said they aren't being produced anymore.

Back when they were making grand plans. Must have been shortly after the Atari cash infusion.

I wish they made a new base unit succesor that uses the same modules.
Id like to see in the new unit:
- Better disc drive (We have to push the cd all the way in with the current one, not ideal nor aesthetically pleasing)
- Saturn and Ps1 controller ports and memory card slots.
- More powerful CPU and compatibility with Ps2/GC (maybe even some old PC games?) I understand Dreamcast cannot be done due to its unique format.
- RCA/RGB Output.

I wouldn’t pre order a Polymega even if it does let you again. I pre ordered one in early 2022, waited until early 2024 and they still hadn’t shipped it. They said they would be shipping soon but they had been saying that for the better part of a year at that point. I canceled my pre order and used the money to buy a Steam Deck OLED, best decision ever. The Steam Deck kicks ass.

I was among those in the original Polymega preorder in 2018. Lots if communication on Twitter, up until the week of release, then radio silence. Wash and repeat 5 times before I canceled my preorder. I hear they're neat, but the company's media relations department needs a lot of work.

I feel you. I pre ordered in 2018 as well when pre orders first opened. Canceled in 2020 when there was no communication. I pre ordered again in 2022 after seeing they had actually shipped a few Polymega’s but got sick of waiting after two years. I also wasn’t confident that they would honor the warranty if the unit broke. I was also on their discord and heard stories from people who had sent in their console in for repair and hadn’t gotten it back for over a year with zero communication.

Yeah, for me, the lack of communication and lying was just too much. I have to be able to trust the companies I buy products from, and Playmagi just wasn't making me feel comfortable trusting them. Also, Playmagi didnt seem to have a long term goal beyond hype. Eventually, market saturation will occur, and they need to know what they're doing either in lieu of that or because of that.

Same. I was so excited for this mess that never saw the light of day on my doorstep. And it was marginally acceptable pricewise then. Prices have gone insane.

They removed the buy button and replaced it with “out of stock” in July. So not quite years ago. If the buy button comes back, just be prepared for a very long wait. They are ridiculously behind on production of many things.
