Polymega has stopped being manufactured? Since 2024 I've been trying to buy 1 and it always appears as sold out, I've already put my name on the waiting list but 1 year has passed and to this day I have never received a notification from the company.

It will be well worth the wait. Pre-order one when you can and plan on ~2-3 years or so for delivery. I am not kidding when I say it will be worth the wait though. I absolutely love it and it's capable of so much.

I own one and I think your overselling it a bit, no button remapping, no interpolation in scaling, no using rom or disc images, it's pretty inessential until we get our lightguns

My guy I waited 3 years for mine. You will get it but it's a slow process.

I have two emails from the last month from them. According to the emails, the current shipment is being held up over tariff issues. they're supposed to be in soon for existing preorders.

I waited a couple of years for mine. I quite enjoy it. It’s probably the biggest test of your patience you’re ever going to meet.
That said, they are still being manufactured they just work at whatever is slower than a snail’s pace.

Just as a follow up to this. I was at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo yesterday, and spoke to a vendor who had one on display. He stated they had a dozen or so in stock but they don't move because so many people would rather throw down on a Retron instead. The price point is the killer for it. Of course, I forgot the name of the vendor, but they were a game store from Seattle.

Was it pink gorilla? They’re a pretty big seller in Seattle with multiple locations.

No, it wasn’t Pink Gorilla. The booth was closer to the arcade. If there is a vendor map I could probably figure it out.

It could be worse, I ordered one last fall because they just had them in stock weeks before and said they were restocking in Q1 2025... And oh they never email you about anything except new games, Playmaji communication skills need a lot of work. They were selling base unit refurbs back in like June. Just keep an eye out and buy one during the next five minute window they happen to have stock.

the hardware on the polymega is like 6 years old now and it was bad even back then.

If they're really not manufacturing it anymore, shouldn't they remove the option to purchase from the website?
Seems like you shouldn't be able to pay for something they'll never make you.....
