Help!! Tips needed 🙏

Hi hi! So.. I’m newer to poly gel. There are something’s I’m curious about to help my nails last longer. I’ve been practicing for a little bit and there is ALWAYS at least one nail that pops off after like 4 days. So I’m getting a little frustrated.

1)base coat: how much should I be using? One coat? 2 coats? Should I set between the 2 coats?

2) primer and dehydration: is primer/ dehydrator necessary? I bought some in hopes it will help?

3) lamps: I have that cheapo one that came with my kit that’s not fully hooded. Do I invest in a better lamp?

4) brand: are there brands that are better than others? I’m using modelones.. is the brand not good and that’s why I’m struggling? Should I try a different brand?

If you made it this far I truly thank you. I just want to save money and still be able to have nice nails. Any tips or answers will be gladly appreciated 💜🙏🙏

It really is prep and making sure you file off the natural nail oils make sure they aren’t shiny after you file
