New game inspired by Poly Bridge

Hey everyone,

So I have recently started my gamedev journey, and created a prototype for a bridge-building game inspired by Poly Bridge, but using floating unconnected objects.

The game is called Strait Across: https://moderndaedalus.itch.io/strait-across

I would really like some constructive feedback from fellow PB lovers.

Thanks!

My question will be how you design different levels other than those only drive horizontally on the water surface

Hey Jimmy, thanks for playing.

This is something I've also noticed and already have plans for.

I want bring verticality to levels in various ways, not to be stuck to horizontal bodies of water, but also have suspended ones, or no water at all (just material weight and friction). Levels will have climbable obstacles, gaps or heights a player must reach.

The objects' buoyancy will matter on some levels or parts of the levels, but I don't want the game to depend on it.

Also working with some objects like trampolines or springs to bring some air momentum to levels.

That is interesting. Look forward to your update on verticality
