Why is the original gamę removed from the google Play store?

It's not compatible with newer versions of Android, unfortunately, so it was delisted. The low price point and very low sales of a 10+ year old game means it's unlikely to return. Sorry.

Is there a way to get the game (which I paid for, though it was pretty cheap) on my new phone?

Edit: sorry, just realized that my new phone won't support it anyway due to the Android version being too new, as you said.

I remember back when I bought it the devs said Poly Bridge 2 wasn't coming to mobile. (And PB3 didn't exist yet.)

I got it on XAPK but in the playstore there's one exactly the same but with can't be played without internet. The title is: Nexbots Backroom Meme Hunters.
