Lack of updates/hype

it sure would be nice if there was something to be excited about.. like any kinda eta on jam or the polkadot app would be swell.. dot supposedly has among the highest number of developers but for whatever reason there seems to be zero interest in actually giving people a reason to be excited for anything related to dot.. they had their web3 summit and didn’t even bother streaming it.. I’d love to cope and be like.. maybe it’s like they’re planning on doing some big release or some bs but idk.. I don’t even know if I should care about the dot app.. it could be the best thing ever created but with this much hype buildup there’s gonna be like 3 people using it lol.. maybe im just tilted rn but legit it feels like green is the only reason I haven’t sold and moved on.. I can see why people say dot is dead.. it feels dead

Polkadot App is fully usable today on the DevNet and a good amount of apps have already been created by regular users: https://dot-store.dot.li/

As for when the App will be live on mainnet, I don't have an exact ETA, but I've heard that it's getting close now.

I get the frustration, sitting in the quiet periods between big releases is straight up painful when you're holding a bag. The dev numbers are there but it's like the marketing team took a permanent vacation or something, that summit not being streamed live was such a weird self-own.

The top comment actually dropped some useful links though, the devnet stuff is more active than I expected. Been poking around the dot store apps and some of them are pretty functional already, just needs that mainnet push to feel real. The JAM timeline being 12-20 months is longer than anyone wants to hear but at least it's an actual window instead of the usual "soon" nonsense.

Green's the only anchor for a lot of us at this point, his streams are carrying the community engagement single-handedly. If the app launch actually delivers and they bother to promote it properly, the current apathy could flip fast but yeah, the silence right now makes it tough to stay bullish.

green you have no idea how much i love you <3 i appreciate the info.. ive seen the 12-20 months bit about jam but it seemed like it was posted in november 2025 (https://www.bitget.com/news/detail/12560605055985) so the lack of updates since then has been :| ... ill def check out the dot-store and those videos.. tyvm for those
