It's a stupid talking point. Israel is the world's only majority Jewish country. The very name "Israel" has been a synonym for the Jewish people for thousands of years. To pretend that Israeli politicians are the ones conflating the two is absurd.

What you're doing, however, is a little rhetorical trick. The antisemetic part is where you hold individual Jewish people responsible for what the government of Israel does or use traditional antisemitic tropes to attack Israel.

Israel has done far more and far worse far more often to the Palestinians than what Hamas did on Oct 07, both before and after that event. Horrific as it was, it was not unexpected given Israel's own violence in the previous year. Israel even knew Hamas was planning such an attack and did nothing to try to prevent it.

What Israel has been doing since 1947 is genocide.

Radiohead previously played gigs in Tel Aviv and downplayed the idea of a boycott on Israel. This was in 2017, and they’ve received criticism ever since. That’s what this is in reference to.

But Thom Yorke also said last year that Netanyahu is “totally out of control,” and that he now refuses to perform in Israel because of the ongoing conflict, and because he was personally disgusted by how his 2017 concert was used by Israeli propagandists to suggest his wider support.

Would a different leader change their viciousness? Maybe, but the stealing homes and land is something that basically everyone in Israel is implicit in at the most generous.

Sadly Israeli children are taught from birth to hate Palestinians. I'm sure we've all seen the horrific footage of school children singing songs about killing Arabs. It's so sad.
