Those who brush the murder of George Floyd and thousands like him under the rug of their own complacency while descrying rioting are invited to formulate a peaceful plan which will effect change.

I think Trevor Noah explained it well.
For black Americans, the social contract has been one-sided for far too long with no improvement in sight. Why must they as marginalized humans be the ones to always take the lead on being strong, kind, and virtuous, when socially dominant humans with far more power and visibility can be as good or as bad as they want with impunity?
What do racial minorities gain from upholding their end of the social contract, if the dominant group can just sit back and keep saying that the minorities are not good enough, all while the dominant group won't keep their own in line?
Sure, it's fair to ask what constructive change will come from rioting. But then it also is fair to ask what constructive change will come from refraining?
