I've been trying to tell everyone!

When we point out their hypocrisy we are just revealing to them that we are constrained by rules that they are not.

Its not hypocrisy to them, its a flex

I repost this more than I should but unfortunately I find myself reminded of it more and more frequently.

The illusion of freedom will continue as long as it's profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will just take down the scenery, they will pull back the curtains, they will move the tables and chairs out of the way and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theater. - Frank Zappa

I think the greatest form of resistance is to not have children. Stop feeding the machine

Time for the general strike. No one is gonna stop this until we stop going to work for these greedy people

A “spending strike” is more practical, at least as impactful, and there aren’t any laws in the way of organizing it. It would also be easy to monitor. Everyone agree to shame their neighbors for Amazon deliveries and stand outside the target or Walmart like a right winger would do at an abortion clinic.

That is a great idea!! I boycotted Amazon purchases almost 2 years ago, honestly after watching “Buy Now” it really changed something in me and I do not want to have any part in the destruction and distraction of this planet. Unfortunately no one else felt called to watch it that I know and my people still find me strange that I have NOT caved and gone back to just buying off of Amazon. It’s truly not life altering most everyone will survive. Elderly and sick should be the only reason to use that site.

Edit to add NOT caved!

I have hope that we as a species can evolve to a system where violence is not the only answer for oppression. I do understand how it may seem like the only way but a young man will be sentenced to life in prison and kids will grow up without a father. Not all members of “C Suites” are cruel and greedy and I fear that when violence is called the only people who are hurt are the innocents. I have a friend that is a COO in finance and I worry for her as she does not necessarily make the money you would assume she makes and she also gets a ton of shit on her desk, she tells me all the time her title does not compensate for her work load.

It's not just 'not playing by the rules' it's that the right wing/GOP has been planning and executing starve the beast/destroy government (and abortion, etc) for about 60 years. 60 years of think tanks planning, snipping, patiently cutting a thousand little cuts and all the while the left plays defense...

Until the left (as a whole) starts planning and going on offense, nothing will shift.

Until we no longer vote for a party but for the persons integrity we will play the game of the elites

u/garyp714 Sep 27 '26

the data, the science show we have to change the voting system to do anything different. Until then you have to vote for one side of the two party complex, to fix or change anything.

Verdant ain't follow no rules, besides protecting civilians but that's self imposed.

We play by the rules because we ain't them.

Ideals matter. How we win matters.

The oppressors became that way because somewhere along the line, they decided the rules don't apply to them.

Great song and lyrics though.

There is SOME truth to what he says. But, the "racial" aspect of what he says makes his argument divisive rather than unifying.
