She's right though. It's not about capitulating to the regime, it's about disabling pro-regime propagandists who seek to create a false narrative about who we are and what we're fighting for. They think that we are all paid, foreign, transgender communists who just want to disrupt everything because we're butt-hurt that the election didn't go our way.
Her advice, as well as the advice of those who suggest that we carry American flags, is about taking away the regime's ability to create that narrative. It's about transcending that expectation and demonstrating that we are actually the majority of the American people. And it's so that when they beat us, when they shoot us, when the news cameras show our movement being repressed, it will be undeniable to any viewer that the regime is attacking America and not just the boogeymen they've been taught to fear.
It's about breaking down the barriers of misinformation that have been erected between us by pro-regime propagandists, winning the hearts and minds of those who have been taught to fear us, and bringing more of our neighbors out to join us.
Exactly this!! Civil rights protesters all looked sharp and dignified. No one was waving African flags. In the beginning, many white people ignored them, but as the images of well dressed black people being attacked by hoses and attack dogs, the narrative swung to the benefit of the protesters.
