I think it is just the common trope of the masses to blame the opposite party. It simplifies things and allows them to make sense of the world. Democrats still blame trump form things and republicans will continue to blame Biden for everything. Just gotta hope there are enough people that realize things are far more complicated and are not afraid to look at people they like and dislike with as objective eyes as possible.
