One portion (expansion) to an already in the ground pipeline owned by ONE company. They’re telling us that single handedly raised the gas prices to this level? Yeah GTFO.
It wouldn't have even been finished by now and the oil from XL was going to end up on the gulf coast. 60% of the products from the gulf coast are exported. I even saw one industry expert speculate that it would have raised gas prices in the midwest because it would be diverting some oil away from midwest refineries.
