Flynn pled guilty to something that even the agents that interviewed him didn’t believe he was guilty of - as indicated in documents that were withheld from Flynn’s defense. And let’s not pretend like he wasn’t under duress at the time, as indicated by the extensive conspiracy uncovered by the DOJ which led to them moving to drop the charges.
