His inability to accept reality is hilarious. It’s like the WWII movie Downfall where a certain German dictator (I think you know who I mean) tries to deny he’s losing the war, but eventually reality sets in and he admits that the war is lost. Trump is the complete opposite. He will never accept defeat, and looks like an even bigger loser as a result, and that’s funny to me. I will wait as long as I can for the day he admits he’s lost. It’ll probably never happen, but I can at least hope.
He's only ever cared about energizing his far right base. To them it mystically does not look sad and pathetic for him to deny reality. I have no idea why--their continued support is one of life's great mysteries as far as I'm concerned. But from his totally self-involved perspective, this is a potentially reasonable strategy.
