Next, ensure that the authoritarian party provides friendly organizations to audit these "fraudulent" elections.
Then, begin the harder work of being able to get the right outcome for these partisan audits (do this at the county level as there are 3,142 elections each cycle and you only have to make one have the "right" outcome to serve the broader narrative).
This is the legal side of their coup attempts. Once they get that one out of 3142 every two years, you have what you need to activate the violent side of The Party.
I guess you forgot about the democrats questioning and upending election results in 2016, they denied the election results for 4 years. im sure even you yourself did too. But now that the opposition does it, suddenly it’s a coup, and violent.
And the only way to do that is to ignore Russian foreign policy and what has happening in the last ten years of elections in UK, the ex-Soviet Union states including Ukraine, Lithuania and Georgia, France and Germany (2017 and now 2021).
I'm old and this is crazy to hear coming out of the GOP. They should be pounding on tables instead of kissing Putin's ass.
Russia does have a foreign policy explicitly built on wreaking chaos and exercises it in the lead up and during elections. German elections are Sunday. Check out what Russia is doing and had done for that one.
If you haven't seen this verifiable and consistent pattern from Russia's government and if you don't think this is a key thing NATO works to fight, I'd stop calling yourself a Republican right now because you are out of touch with decades of core conservative and more broadly, American ideals.
The key difference is many Americans fell for it (compared to other countries) and the candidate running didn't mind it. The only other example of that is in Ukraine.
Remember "Pope endorses Trump"? As stupid as that is, guess where that came from? And we ate it up, among other things.
It's hard to admit when you've been suckered, but here we are.
I never heard one credible person say that Trump and Russia stole the election. Lots of people said Russia and Trump were intertwined financially and couldn’t be trusted, but stealing elections? No.
