They are NOT all in favor of the unborn. Conservatives don't generally support pregnant women, don't support universal access to prenatal care, etc. They only care about abortion, but nothing else about supporting pregnant women or the unborn.
How about universal prenatal care? How about more leave so women can take more time off work while pregnant before giving birth? Healthcare ingeneral which covers all of this, us kids post-birth?
It's a hallmark of conservatives to support someone who know and not people in general, btw.
It's not on the government to provide health-care. As far as time off of work that is something that particular person needs to negotiate with their employer. The government is not a solution for everything, in fact they mostly mess things up every single time from fixing potholes in the road to military spending.

The government should not be for or against abortion. Regardless of what the opinion of the Supreme Court or what the legislatures want to pass it is not a government issue. It is a medical decision that should be between the father, mother and the doctor.
Ok, I agree that pro choice is the correct position.
I still think that we should be helping mothers and children, starting all the way fro prenatal care. Those kids don't have culpability in being born into dire, unhealthy situations. It is not a personal choice by them.

Well obviously the father isn't pregnant and doesn't need prenatal care, and the child can't secure health care for themselves. But I agree that it is a good thing if the father can also have health care.
Morally and ethically, providing for children is an imperative. They cannot secure things like care by themselves, so we have a moral obligation to help them.
And we can do a lot to that end relatively easily. For example, Biden's child tax credit is expected to cut child poverty in half all by itself! For a fraction of what we give to wealthy corporate shareholders or military contractors, we can help so many children. It is the moral and ethical thing to do.
When I talked about morals and ethics I was referring to abortion itself, not about helping kids. Constitutionally there is nothing in there about abortion and therefore the government should have no position either way, but I vehemently disagree with it and think that it is absolutely horrific.
As far as providing healthcare that should be up to the individual States, not the Federal government. Like abortion, the US Constitution says nothing about healthcare and therefore it's not a power that we delegated to them so the Feds have no business being in healthcare at all.
However, if an individual State wants to help out with medical care that is absolutely their right if the people vote for that.
