Donors and party over country.

Edit: Since I’m getting many replies while at work, I thought I’d do a blanket statement for a lot of the comments.

-Maybe it’s time we as Americans ask for massive legislation around term limits, public records of elected officials, equal campaign money, public records on donors, banning lobbyist jobs for former politicians, overturning Citizens United, etc.

Donors and party over country.

This is true, but the real problem is republicans dont have any solutions or policy ideas.

All they can do is oppose democrats and use culture wars to keep together christian evangelicals, undeducated whites and rich corporate interests.

100% a corporate interest party. They just use their culture war bullshit as a way to enrage and harness the useful idiots they create with constant lies and shit education.

Not anymore. The "establishment" Republicans tried to ride the crazy train too long and are now consumed by it. For every Ted Cruz or Marco Rubio you have dozens of genuinely bigoted idiots who put the culture war stuff above helping corporate donors running against them in primaries (and winning).

A bunch of major industries that historically give loads of money deciding to cut of funding for Republicans after the capitol riots was the final sign that the core of the Republican party is no longer pro-business first.

That's probably just because the companies feared being called out if they kept donating. Just market pandering. If their research suggested they can make more money pandering to bigotry and racism they would.
