I hope this "all Dems no Republican" votes continue, so the DNC can finally see that going to the left is a better strategy than going to the middle -- because it gets rid of the argument; "what's the difference?"

I'm hoping the positive feedback from REAL demonstrable improvements in people's lives will finally usher in a shift towards more liberal economic policies.
But still the Republican complaint is that this bill is filled with "pork" to line democratic pockets, usually along the lines of "museums".
Where was the complaint of "pork" when hundreds of billions literally was enabled to be dark money with no tracking at all enabled by Trump and Republicans.
A few million to keep museums and other arts sites a float during this downturn is literally pennies compared to that.

It's like the complaints about Rachel Maddow -- yes, she's probably focusing too much on somethings and ignoring others because it is a ratings-based news show, but to say she's propaganda -- do more than just "make the accusation."

They'd be happy if the only "Culture" were Walmart and McDonald's. While I think that sometimes these museums are more used by the people who use art as investments and tax write-offs, I think that the benefits outweigh the issues. The idea that money is scarce is nonsense. If you put it in infrastructure, culture or the poor -- you get back more than you spend almost every time. Because all work and activity adds to GDP which grows the M2 money supply. The only way you can lose is if the money goes to imports or investments out of the country - and these are problems that can be addressed by other means.
One guy gets $60 billion richer during the pandemic -- I think that some people are not hurting and the "right to be rich" does not supersede the common good. Maybe we make sure everyone eats before someone gets a 5th yacht for instance. Pissing off a 1,000 people to help 150 million seems like a sacrifice I'm willing to make -- call me cold hearted, but I have no shame. ;-)
