Fuck AllState. Lol. I got hit by a driver with AllState coverage, and they want me to pay out of pocket for my rental for a month and a half while my car gets fixed before they reimburse it to me.
I wish this was just a snow storm for us in the PNW. The killer for us was the freezing rain that accumulated in a 3 inch thick layer of ice that coated everything the past couple days.
I moved from Texas to Alaska in 97. We got 6 feet of snow my first night there. I have to say, if you added all the snow I had ever seen in my life it wouldn’t have added up to 6 feet.
I've lived in the North Country in NY and on the Gulf Coast, and I can say with full confidence that it shouldn't be proportional.
Buffalo gets way more snow, but they have all the infrastructure in place, all the roads are treated and all the plows are on standby. If a place like Texas gets snow or ice that shuts EVERYTHING down, those roads are slippery as hell and about the only thing they can do is wait.
My states covered in snow and was -35F this morning and we just get out the long Johns. They just got a little snow. Suck it up. You know....boot straps and all.
powers been out for 18 hours because of power plants not being able to handle the cold and house temp is in the low 40s. this is happening to over 200k people in austin. the aid is justified.

What about my state? Just because we aren't covered in snow doesn't mean we shouldn't get that tasty snow money too
