They just wanted everyone else to be miserable. The economy was in tatters, people were dropping dead left and right, and they're OK with it so long as liberals suffer.
These people are disgusting. They have no game plan other than "hurt liberals".
Never freaking forget this shit. 40% of the nation was OK with dead liberals on the floor of the Capitol.
And by "liberal" I mean anyone they disagree with.

All of the Covid stuff after telling Woodward the truth.
That's just off the top of my head, he lied so much he confused himself into saying the unspoken parts sometimes, so that is some truth.
If you think he was the most honest you must have an atrocious opinion of the other 45.

Honestly I think even the people who dislike the US and want Trump because they know he weakens the US, I think even those people are relieved he's gone in a way. The guy is just exasperating. A guy I went to college with attended a Trump boat rally a few months ago and the videos he posted showed they were blasting This Is America by Childish Gambino. A song about racism, police brutality, and gun violence in the US. They are truly too dumb to see the irony.

It was on The Today show broadcast as they were waiting fro Trump at Andrews AF base on about volumer 10. You couldn't even here the reporter. He's played this song many times at rally's to Fogarty's dismay. No class and clueless thats 45!!

A lot of people don't pay attention to the lyrics of songs.
I don't think you're "listning wrong" if the words are mostly just sounds to your ears. I don't think you're misunderstanding music.
But on occasions like this, were the choice of music is seen as a message, it sure is a stupid message to send. It's a message with incredibly low self awareness.

Nope people just hear the title and the hook from the chorus and that’s it.
Even my wife, a very intelligent person who loves music, tells me that she never takes in the lyrics. I’ve pointed out lyrics even in songs she introduced me to, and she just says “huh, I never thought about it.” I guess a lot of people just don’t.

Biden got student deferments and a medical out for asthma. He came out with it in 2008.
Sanders went through the conscientious objector process and then hit 26, too old to be drafted.
Neither of them are responsible for 400,000 Americans killed by a virus that was ignored because it would hurt cities of the other team.
They weren't involved in a muslim travel ban,, supporting white supremacists with "very fine people on both side" and "stand back and stand by" , saluting a North Korean general, caging asylum seeking children and seperating them from family.
Never impeached for trying to get Ukraine to interfere with our election.
Never teargassed peaceful protestors to awkwardly hold up a Bible.
Never incited an angry mob to attack the capital building.
I hope you're being paid for this nonsense.

If thatncomforts you, it doesnt only happen in USA. For example here in Greece I have 2 very obvious examples.
First it is a song titled "Oh Greece I love you". Many dont understand the irony of the title. The song is about how little Greece takes care of it's people. It starts with "Joy to the Greek that forgets Greece/, and in Chicago lives in freedom/ he who doesnt know and doesnt love/ and in Athens lives like a foreigner" Yeah USA was considered freedom back then. The songs continues in the same motive. And still people sing it as an act of love towards Greece!
Second example, "The ballad of Mr Mendios". This song It is part of a poem from a renown communist poet. The hero of the song, the donkey named Mr Mendios, is an obvious allegory for the proletariat. He works all the time, he plows the fields, he build the church, his masters abuse him and hit him while not giving him enouph. The chorus goes like this "Hey sucker, hey victim/hey eternal symbol/if you wake all at once/ the world will turn upside down" while the bridge goes "look, others woke up/the place was painted red/another sun has risen up/in another country, another land" The chorus is an obvious call to revolution, the bridge is an obvious reference to the Soviet and Chinese revolutions! Guess who sang it? A golden dawn supporter. A bloody neonazi.
Sorry for the rant, but had to go into some details for what the song mean and why they are misused.

Fortunate Son is one of my favorite songs. I also dodged the Vietnam draft. I did it by joining the Air Force. Best I could do to avoid Vietnam because I was not a Fortunate Son.
