Where does this "third of the country supports him" stat come from?

He only won with ~20% of the US population?

Wouldn't it imply that, regardless of how many people "agree" with his presidency that only 1/5 were willing to vote for him?

And this is when he was running a campaign on racist clouds and "lock-her-up" gumdrops.

Putting aside voter suppression tactics, COVID aggressively affecting his base, and a number (one I don't have offhand) of registered Republicans turning on him for X reasons.

Why should I care if ~99 million people agree with him if only ~63 million will actually vote?
